Uses

Empagliflozin is used to improve blood and sugar levels while exercising with adults who are on Type 2 diabetes mellites. This medicine is advised to be taken with diet and exercise. Empagliflozin is used to reduce the risk of death from stroke, heart attack, or heart failure in patients who have type 2 diabetes and are also diagnosed with the disease.

The empagliflozin is also used in the treatment of type 1 diabetes.

Precautions

• Use this medicine with caution in hepatic impairment and heart failure patients.

• If you are pregnant, ask your doctor before using this medicine.

• Don’t use this medicine in patients with diabetic ketoacidosis.
