Uses

Montiget (montelukast) is used regularly to prevent and treat the shortness and wheezing of breath and other problems caused by asthma and decrease the number of asthma attacks. It plays crucial role pathogenesis of asthma.

The medicine is used to indicate chronic treatment and prophylaxis of asthma in adults and paediatric patients of 12 months age and older. This medicine is used before exercise to prevent breathing problems during training. This medicine also helps to decrease your need to use your quick-relief inhaler.

This medicine is also used to relieve the symptoms of hay fever and allergic rhinitis.

Dosage

For adults and adolescents 15 years age and old

One 10mg tablet

Montiget should be taken once daily in the evening.

Take this medicine to prevent breathing problems while exercising, then take a dose of this medicine at least two hours before the exercise. And don’t intake this medicine if you are already taking any medication for allergies and asthma. Doing so will increase the risk of side effects.
