Xenglu tablets are used in combination with diet and exercise to improve blood sugar control in adults. Empagliflozin is used to reduce the risk of death from stroke, heart attack, or heart failure with patients who have type 2 diabetes and are also diagnosed with the disease.

The empagliflozin is also used in the treatment of type 1 diabetes.

• Tell your doctor if you have any medical history related to severe breathing problems like obstructive lungs disease, severe asthma, kidney disease, liver disease, pancreas disease (pancreatitis), stones in your gallbladder (gallstones)

• While on this medication, you might experience blurred vision, drowsiness, dizziness, low and high blood pressure. So, make sure you don’t use or drive any machinery or perform any activities that require clear vision and alertness.

• Use this medicine with caution in hepatic impairment and heart failure patients.

• If you are pregnant, ask your doctor before using this medicine.

• Don’t use this medicine in patients with diabetic ketoacidosis.
